Marcie Good started her writing career at the Expositor in Brantford, Ontario in 1998, where, yes, she interviewed Walter Gretzky. She then worked for several newspapers in B.C. before turning to magazines. Her first feature was a cover piece in Saturday Night in 2001. Since then her work has appeared in publications including Vancouver, B.C. Business, Western Living, the Globe and Mail, Canadian Living, and the Rowing News. She also produced three pieces for CBC Radio shows The Inside Track and Outfront. In 2007 she won a Western Magazine Award in the Public Issues category for a story about Dr. Bill MacEwan in Vancouver magazine, and was also nominated for a Gold Award. Her favourite stories tend to focus on people who approach social issues in unconventional ways. She also really likes flawed heroes.
